1. General Refund Policy
Since MemeDance offers non-tangible, irrevocable digital goods (AI-generated images and videos), we generally do not issue refunds once the service has been rendered or credits have been used. The computing costs for AI generation are incurred immediately upon your request.
2. Web Purchases
Refunds for purchases made on our website are processed directly by us or our payment partners.
- Condition (Package-based): We offer a 14-day withdrawal right for wholly unused credit packages. Our system manages purchased packages separately and consumes credits on a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) basis. You are eligible for a full refund of a specific purchase ONLY IF not a single credit from that specific package has been consumed.
- Strictly No Partial Refunds: If any credits from a specific purchased package have been used, that package is considered partially consumed and is strictly non-refundable.
- Waiver: Once you request a generation and consume a credit from a package, you acknowledge that the digital service for that package has begun and you waive your right to a withdrawal.
- Refunds Beyond Gateway Limits: Payment gateways impose strict time limits on original payment cancellations (e.g., typically 90 to 365 days depending on the provider and card network). If you request a valid partial refund after this technological window has closed, the refund cannot be processed back to your original payment method. Instead, it must be issued via manual bank wire transfer. All associated banking fees, international wire fees, and currency exchange costs will be wholly deducted from your final refund amount. If these fees exceed the total refund amount, the refund cannot be processed.

3. In-App Purchases
Purchases made via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to the store's respective refund policies. We cannot process these refunds directly, but we enforce the following account policies regarding store refunds:
A. How to Request a Refund
Refund requests must be submitted directly through the platform where the purchase was made (Apple App Store or Google Play Store), in accordance with each platform’s respective refund policy.
B. Consequences of Store Refunds (Account Actions)
If you obtain a refund from the store, you must forward the refund receipt to [email protected] so we can adjust your account status.
Case 1: Refund for Unused Credits (Legitimate)
If you refunded a package where no credits were used, we will simply deduct the refunded credits from your balance. Your account will remain active.
(Required: You must email us the refund receipt to prove the refund status.)
Case 2: Refund for Used Credits (Abuse)
If you consumed credits (generated content) and subsequently obtained a store refund for that purchase, this is considered Refund Abuse. In such cases, we reserve the right to suspend your account permanently.
4. Refunds for Technical Errors
If a generation fails due to a technical error on our side (e.g., server timeout, system crash), we do not offer cash refunds, but we guarantee the automatic restoration of your credits.
- Auto-Refund: Credits deducted for failed generations are automatically returned to your balance.
- Exceptions: We do not refund credits for "unsatisfactory aesthetic results" as long as the system functioned correctly.
